A side Note: I haven't forgot about the site, just been busy and doing a lot of thinking. I hope to reveal some of my thoughts in the annual LSS Outlook for '09. If everything works out 2009 could be a HUGH year. We shall see!!

Website Update

I have many plans with the time I have away from Project X. One of those plans is to get back to work on the site. I hope this week I can get the Blog section up. (More on that on a later date). I also plan to rewrite the About Me and add an About LSS page. This will give alittle insight to who I am and what I want LSS to become. Think of is as a long mission state about the me and my future company.

The other site work I plan to do is on the forums. I want to look over the headings and see how to clean up everything. I am also working on finding a new look for them as well. So, stay tune as LightSideStudios.com continues to get lastest upgrades!

Project X 1st Draft FINISHED!!

This morning I finished the 1st draft of "Project X"! This is the deepest and longest story I have ever written. This script topped out at a wopping 119 pages, almost 120. So, what's next?

The next two weeks I will take a small break from the story. I will not look at or even think about. I just need to clear my head and get ready for atleast three, maybe even, six month rewrite. The 2nd draft will take the longest and be the hardest part of the writing process. But for now, I am just glad the story is out of my head and soon-to-be on paper!

Project X Update!!

I have been busy this past week working on my next screenplay, "Project X". As of this update I have 44 pages and I am VERY excited about this story. The plan is to finish the first draft is still the last weekend of September, but I believe I could have the draft done by the end of Labor Day!!!

This story will be the focus point for the rest of 2008 and most of 2009. This script WILL be sent to Hollywood and well we shall see what happens. Once the first draft is finished I plan to lay out the plans for this large project!! Check back for more updates!!

After a good year or so LSS has a new face! Some of the new features are.....

--- Archives - Each month I will be adding the oldest news to its own page. This I hope will keep the front page clean and easier to read.

--- Project News Links - These links will take you to a page (just like the update page) that will give you a more deeper look into what I am working on. Look for more on this in a few weeks!

--- Project Archives - This area will have links to pages about old projects that I have worked on. These pages wiil be a great way to look back and see how hard we have all worked!

--- Upcoming Deadlines - These will be replacing the old "Dates to Remember". Same idea just a different name. This area will be used to post dates to remind me what needs to be worked on. This will allow everyone else a seek peek into what I am working and when it will be need to be finished.

--- Future Features - Watch this area for new additions coming to the site. Right I am looking to a LSS blog. A place to write all the time and about EVERYTHING! Once again, more on this later on.

--- Now Playing - This was once what I called the update area, but now it will be something a bit different. I plan to start a movie review section again. I tried this waaay back during the LDF (LyonsDenFilm) days. If the Blog works, the reviews will be written there. Everyone together.... More on this later!!

I wanted to have more features ready but I felt the look of the old site was dated and needed a makeover NOW. LSS site will always be growing and looking at ways to added helpful features.
Still in the works is a new skin for the forums, with a bit of re-work to boot. I also plan to add a helpful links page for different writing producing, and directing.

Excuse The Mess!!

I have begun the task of creating a new layout! I have loaded a new template. A lot of images and links might be down for a few weeks while I work things out. The site it self might be down for a day or two. I hope that a fresher, better LightSideStudios site will emerge!!

New Beginnings!

So, with the new mindset and a new story ready to take form I decided to look over the site. I am not happy with the present form of LSS. I want this site to be much,much more and I have let it go for so long. Last night I began looking at new templates and layout ideas. This might take some time but LSS will soon have a much needed face lift.

During this time I also play to look at what I can offer LSS. I am looking at content and how to improve the flow of news, ideas, and even future feature topices. I have always wanted LSS to entertain and help others in the movie making world.

When ever I begin the move to a new layout the site will be down for a day or so. I will update when I get closer to the move. Things are FINALLY starting to move again. ;-)

The Seven month slump is OVER!!!!!

After a VERY long dry spell and trying to figure out where my life was taking me, the slump is over! This weekend I am happy to announce I have finished the 1st draft treatment of "Project X"!!!! I have been working on this treatment for about a month. I decided I had to get on with this and sat myself down Friday night and Saturday and cranked this out. The treatmen is the longest I have ever written. This treatment top out at 32 pages, full of details and a great story.

So, what's next? I will begin the 2nd draft this week. I am very hopefully I can knock this out in about a week or so. I feel good with the lay out of the story and think I can get on with the rough script in about two weeks.
