2008, what a year it could be!!


Okay, I am going to get to the Big News first. I am currently working on a big video project for a local organization. I will be shooting on Jan 19th and then on Feb.2nd. Later after editing DVDs will be sold. Because of this the possible customer base I am in the process of making LSS an offical business. I hope to have the paper work and money together by the end of Feb. or Mar. This will open the door to do other money making projects to help fund better cameras, editing, computers and ... cough.. feature films. (hehe) This will be a VERY busy year for me. I have to make this a true business but I still have to move foward to make movies. I still have to make the time to write and work on all of the scripts. So with this I will be creating something a little different.
This site will become more about my business and other video projects. I have always saw LSS as the parnet company, the father, othe small companies. So, in 2008 all the movie, screenwriting, updates will be moved to another site. The name is still a secret but it won't be "lost" for long. I hope to have this site redo and the other site ready by mid-summer. Once again I'll try to keep this updated on the progress on this.



The THREE GOALS for 2008!

This will be simply but VERY hard. If I do these three things next year I will have done something HUGE!

1. Finish rough draft of "Project X"

I think I have na ending so it's time to set down a bust this script out. I could easily see this done in about a month to a month and half. Just sitting down a making it happen!

2. Shoot Short from "Project X" script!!!!!

#1 is the most important because I must have it to do #2. I have the scene in my head and I want to shoot it in one day as a test and pratice behind the camera. Once I get the script done this should move pretty fast. Keep and eye out on this in '08.

3. THE NEW SCRIPT!!!

After looking at "13" and writing as a feature film I think the budget will be to big at the moment for this. I need a feature script to do in one location with fewer people. Now I thought "13" would be this script but after the re-write I saw how big it got. The other problem with "13" was it didn't have that spark all the other script I have done. The sprak that gets me going to see it through. Now, don't get me wrong "13" is a good script it just has a LOT of work a head to make it great.

I have been thinking about and idea and I think I have figure out an idea that will work for a budget around $50,000, unlike the 150,000-$200,000 I had plan for "13". This is just a very rough figure but all I can do now is write the script. I hope to have an update soon on this too.

As you have read, 2008 is going to be a HUGE year for LSS. Next year will be a busy year for me. Yes, I do plan to write TWO scritps and still try to work on the re-write on "13". I have other cool things to show. I have updated the LSS logo which should be up after the new on the frontpage. I hope to also show the logo for the NEW film production company sometime soon too. 2007 has been a great year, but the outlook of '08 looks to be AMAZING!!!
